Our family applied for a Shakey’s discount card in Tacloban last year and we were told that every member in the family can use this discount card even in its absence, we just have to quote the number of the card. For almost a year, all of us in the family have been enjoying discounts whether we were eating out together or simply eating out with friends. All of us had the stored number of the card anyway.

Then last week as I was in Shakey’s at SM Cebu, I was surprised that the personnel were asking for the card; I told them it was with my husband but i had the number anyway. They refused to grant discount to my bill.

What exactly is the policy?
